St. John Paul II High School also announced the construction of a new turf playing surface and appropriately naming the facility "Bishop Carmody Field".

Football:

The team earned 4 wins, which were the most wins since 2011. The 4 wins were also more that the 2012-2015 seasons-combined.
The Centurion Football Team also earned Week 6 KIIITV-3 Sports Blitz Play of the Week

And the team received honors for 2nd Team All-District Reciever Trey Mendoza (So)

Volleyball:

Centurion V-ball earned its 1st District Win since 2014.

Senior Libero Alyssa Saenz received 1st Team All-District Honors

Senior Middle-Blocker Karley Hellums made the All-District 2nd Team Honors

and Junior Outside-Hitter Lexi Serna also received 2nd Team Honors

Sophomore Jeanette Rosario received a slot on the list for Honorable Mention.

Girls Basketball:

Was Ranked in the State Top 10
and hosted their 1st playoff game since 2010, beating Houston Lutheran South.

Track and Field:

Karley Hellums placed 2nd at Regionals in the Shot put with a throw of 36'4" earning a top spot for regionals while breaking the school record. Karley ultimately earned 2nd Place in State.

Shania Esquivel places 3rd in the Discus with a throw of 91'2.5", earning a Regional spot and placing 6th in State for Discus

Melissa Rosario also headed to regionals in the shot put placing 4th overall

Sophomore Tyler Edholm headed to Regionals as well and ultimately earned 7th place in State, in Pole Vault.

Baseball:

Was back to Arizona after a 6 year absence.
The team finished 2nd in District and qualified for the playoffs. The Centurion Baseball Team had their most wins in a season since 2014.

Stephen Perales Jr. was elected to the TAPPS ALL-STATE 2ND TEAM and 1st Team in TAPPS 5A Division II-District 6

Chris Sanchez was elected to the All-District 1st Team and was elected to the Academic All-State Team

The only Junior to make the All-District First Team was Centurion Shortstop Ryan Mota.

The only Sophomore to make the All-District First-Team was Centurion Catcher Justin De Los Santos

Brandon Deeb was voted to the Academic All-State team and the All-District 2nd Team

Junior Pitcher/3rd Baseman Mark Castaneda was voted to the All-District 2nd Team

Sophomore and Outfielder Jonathyn Molinar was also voted to the 2nd Team
