Chappa Throws Shutout As St John Paul II Centurion Softball Defeats San Antonio Christian

Hannah Chappa didn't allow a single run as the Lady Centurions defeated San Antonio Christian 14-0 on Tuesday. Chappa allowed just two hits and struck out #8 to end the game.

STJPII secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the fourth inning. They scored on a single by Hallie Avalos, a single by Cammie Jimenez, a single by Victoria Adame, a single by Alyssa Gonzalez, a groundout by Emily Ayala, a single by Gabby Lopez, and a error.

St John Paul II collected 14 hits. Avalos, Gonzalez, Krysten Cooper, Lopez, and Hannah Chappa each collected multiple hits for the St. John Paul II Centurions. One of those hits being a homerun for Cooper.

Gonzalez and Avalos each managed three hits to lead John Paul II Centurions Varsity.

St John Paul II didn't commit a single error in the field. Adame had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.

The Centurion Softball Team moves on to the next round, facing Fort Bend Christian at 7pm in Cuero, tomorrow night.
