Centurions move to 4-1 over Unbeaten Pettus While Earning 3Sports Blitz "Play of The Week"

The St John Paul II Football Team was minus quarterback Matt Sanchez (concussion) against Pettus this past Friday. Branden Colunga filled in at quarterback and the Centurions didn't miss a beat. Colunga passed for 380 yards and rushed for 116. Colunga's first TD pass was to Sam Works(104 yards), who had 3 on the night, including a Pick-6 on defense. Trey Mendoza

was the big GO-TO Man in the air Friday night. Mendoza caught the ball for 231 yards. Together, Mendoza and Colunga earned KIII TV-3 Sports Blitz "Play of The Week".

But, Mendoza was not finished. He hooked up with Colunga on 2 other, identical plays, also resulting in TDs.
