The St John Paul II High School Centurion Football Team will be playing their first home game earlier than expected. With Hurricane Harvey slamming into the Coastal Bend, then ravishing the Houston area, high school football teams along the Texas Coast, who were fortunate enough to immediately continue their season, had to scramble to find a game for the week if their opponents were in the unfortunate situation of needing to cancel their games.
The Centurion Football team was originally scheduled to play Ozen High School in Beaumont this Friday. The game had to be cancelled due to flooding in the area. At the same time, the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats were originally slotted to play a game at Woodsboro vs The Eagles this Friday, which also had to be cancelled due to the effects of Hurricane Harvey.
StJPII First-Year Head Football Coach Andrew Leon and Skidmore-Tynan Head Football Coach John Livas agreed to play Thursday 8/31 at Bishop Carmody Field in Corpus Christi, where Coach Leon will be able to make his head-coaching debut at home.
Tonight's game is scheduled for 7pm.
Ticket prices are $7 for Adults and $5 for Students
