AJ Garcia and Jonathyn Molinar named to TAPPS All-State Baseball Teams

The St John Paul II Centurion Baseball Program recently earned multiple awards at the District and State level for their strong performances on the field in TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools) competition.

Six of the starting nine players student-athletes from JP2 Baseball recently received an TAPPS DII District 5 All-District Awards, voted on by all of the coaches of the district. These players were AJ Garcia (JR), Jonathyn Molinar (SR), Matt Sanchez (JR), Justin De Los Santos (SR), John-Ryan Oliveira (SR), and Aidan Olivo (FR).

Additionally, their work in the classroom is not to be overlooked. Three of those players (Garcia, Molinar and Sanchez) received  Academic All-State recognition. To be considered for Academic All-State, student-athletes must be a junior or senior with a grade point average of 90 or better. They must also receive 1st or 2nd Team All-District recognition by the coaches in their district.
